UPDATE:
Three teenage boys have been arrested and charged with multiple offences after the theft of three cars from a Pelican Waters residence on August 9.
Around 3.30am Monday police were called to the home of Sunshine Coast cooking celebrity Kim McCosker, who had reported a break-in where three vehicles were taken.
Officers located one of the vehicles, a Mini Cooper, driving on Nicklin Way around 4am and a short pursuit commenced. The car was followed into Finch Court at Bokarina, where it rammed a police car.
The sole occupant fled the vehicle while a male senior constable suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Police will allege this incident is linked to the alleged armed robbery of a service station at Eumundi on August 3, where a group of four juveniles entered the business and produced a screwdriver and knife before stealing cash and cigarettes.
The stolen Mercedes the group was travelling in was allegedly driven at high speed away from the scene and along the Bruce Highway.
Police arrested three boys Tuesday evening in the Logan area in relation to these and multiple other recent offences involving the theft of vehicles and break-ins from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast
A 16-year-old Woodridge boy has since been charged with one count of armed robbery and attempted burglary, 14 counts of burglary, 10 counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, five attempted enter dwelling, four enter premises with intent and three counts of fraud.
A 16-year-old Logan Central boy has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, enter premises with intent and receiving tainted property, nine counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and five counts of burglary.
A 17-year-old Yarrabilba boy has been charged with eight counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, six counts of burglary, two counts of fraud and one count each of attempted burglary and enter premises to commit indictable offence.
They were all denied bail to appeal in Children’s Court.
Three alleged accomplices are still being sought for questioning.
EARLIER
Global cooking celebrity Kim McCosker has called on the Queensland Government to put a halt to fearless juvenile criminals holding the state to ransom.
The prominent Sunshine Coast author is still in shock after up to six young thieves smashed their way into her Pelican Waters home early Monday morning.
They stole a Mini Countryman, emblazoned with her famous 4 Ingredients branding, her husband’s Range Rover and son Morgan’s prized Toyota Supra.
Incredibly, Ms McCosker said that on Monday night some friends who lived at Mt Cotton were discussing her post about how people needed to be wary when the same perpetrators pulled up at their house in her husband’s Range Rover – GLEN67.
She said they broke in, stole two luxury cars and then posed for pictures in her friends’ cul-de-sac and were in the street for 50 minutes, all caught on cameras and all reported.
The experience infuriated Ms McCosker and she has taken to social media to demand urgent government action.
“I feel like my family and I have been thrust into an unwanted 24 hours of CSI,” she said.
“What we have learnt is that juvenile crime is REAL and it is a REVOLVING DOOR – they walk in one (Police) and out the other (Courts).
“Juvenile criminals are REPEAT OFFENDERS. They repeat because they know they can get away with it. They are brazen, they post it all across social media for bragging rights.
“They only want certain cars. They stole my car, wrapped in my company’s logo, then I read where they’d stolen a canary yellow Bundaberg Rum ute, which is even more recognisable.”
Ms McCosker said that in 24-hours she had spoken to police forensic staff, sergeants and detectives across four Queensland areas – Sunshine Coast, Morton Bay, Cleveland and Logan – and all were “frustrated”.
She said that on her posts Monday morning, she had counted more than 90 people with similar stories.
“Each was as devastating as ours – and they are only the ones I’ve read. There are many more I haven’t been able to get to.”
Ms McCosker said her son’s pride and joy – his Toyota Supra 96JZZ – was driven into another car Monday night in Bray Park at around 7pm doing 100km/h in a 60 zone and, thankfully, no people were hurt.
In an updated post Tuesday night, she said camera footage revealed the thieves had copied new plates – 900TMN and put them on the car “to evade and confuse the law”.

“I believe everyone has the right to live without fear and restrictions, in secure homes, in neighbourhoods of our choice – BUT – this is being compromised and THIS is unacceptable!
“We have a dog, we have sensory lights, we have cameras all up and down our street. We are now installing flood lights and alarms!
“WE ARE DOING OUR BIT – and now – I need you to do yours Annastacia Palaszczuk MP. CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU!”
Ms McCosker said she begged the government to change the laws that allowed 14 to 17-year-olds to repeatedly steal from homes.
She said the courts could do nothing unless the legislation was changed.
“JUVENILE CRIME and REPEAT OFFENDERS must be stopped. WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!’
“LASTLY – WE NEED OUR ELECTED POLITICIANS – ALL OF YOU – to work together, we need you to UNITE and protect your people!
“NO MORE BLAME – UNITY – IS WHAT WE NOW NEED!”
